Abraham Lincoln said to Harriet Beecher Stowe, "So this is the little lady that started the big war!" The little lady, of course, wrote UNCLE TOM'S CABIN. Would Civil War have happened without it? Or World War II without MEIN KAMPF? Would there have been Communist revolutions without THE COMMUNIST MANIFESTO? Imperial China without Confucius?
